Happy Wednesday everyone!
Today is the first day of November. I was thrilled thinking about Thanksgiving getting closer, when it's the time for family getting together. Living in a big city like Houston is fun, especially when we are living so close to shopping centers and there are tons of restaurants surrounding us. Sometimes, though, I miss living in a small town where people are more friendly and the life style is more relaxing.
It has been raining since the day before yesterday and the rain finally stopped this morning. The temperature went up a bit after last weekend's sudden cold front, so it felt like late summer or early fall again, cool but not chill.
I always have trouble deciding on what to wear during this kind of weather, and this floral sweatshirt I purchased from J Crew two years ago always turned out to be my best choice to throw on in weather like today. It's light but warm enough in early spring or fall weather. I usually pair it either with jeans or shorts depending on the temperature. When the weather gets colder, I like to throw on a light jacket or a peacoat over it to keep me warmer. Sometimes I even wear it with a floral jacket to make a double layered floral fall outfit, as you can see in my old post from last year.
Today I decided to wear it with my new Joe's high waist denim shorts (size 24) that I purchased in Nordstrom Rack recently. Shopping in Nordstrom Rack every Saturday morning has become my weekly routine ever since we moved to Houston. Since I'm petite, it's not easy to find outfits in my size on sale, but sometimes I got lucky enough to find good deals on clothes in my size in Nordstrom Rack.
I chose to wear my Tory Burch Bailey sandals to go with my outfit today. After wearing them a few times walking and shopping around in the city, they turned out to be my most comfortable and versatile sandals in my wardrobe. You can read my previous review if you would like more information.
