I'm a mom!

Hello everyone and a late happy new year!

2018 has passed in a blink of an eye. It was definitely one of my best years so far, as the arrival of our precious baby girl Chloe. The past few months have gone crazily and I still can’t believe that I’m already a mom! She is now five month old and likes rolling and exploring. Everyday has been a bundle of joy with my baby. As a mom of a 5 month old, I have a lot that I would like to share with you.

I still remember clearly the days that I first found out I conceived. While being overwhelmed with the idea of being a mom, I started worrying about what I was going to wear during the next few month. My belly didn’t show until I was 4 month pregnant, which is in the mid March. So I was able to wear my casual winter and spring outfits. As you can see from my last post, I was wearing my Alice & Olivia Mixed Stitch Sweater and hooded sport dress when I was 14 week pregnant. Thanks to the warm weather in Houston, I was able to wear most of my winter and early spring outfits when I was pregnant.

As summer kicked in, I started wearing dresses most of the time. I didn’t want to buy too much maternity clothes, as I always thought it was a waste of money. I started exploring pregnancy friendly clothes that are also good for a new mom. Swing dresses and loose fitting shift dresses from Loft were my everyday outfits as they have plenty room for my bump and are good for both work and causal days. Although my favorite dress during my pregnancy was the Loft Border Paisley Tie Waist Dress, which also had a maternity version from Loft Maternity. I preferred the regular one since I planned to wear it during postpartum and even in the future. I usually wear size xxs petite. I sized up to xs petite during pregnancy. My second favorite dress from Loft was the Lou & Grey Signature Soft Shift Dress (size xs). The fabric was so soft and stretchable. I wore both of them until the day of delivery, as well as postpartum. They were absolutely my best purchases during my pregnancy.

As a new mom, I don’t have much time shopping in stores or online. but I managed to shop during weekends. Now that I have a little girl, a lot of my shopping is taken up by those super cute girl clothes! I’m excited for her to get a little older so I can try out some great fashion ideas for her as well.

Now that things have slowed down and I am getting used to being a mom, I hope to have more time to share with you. I hope everyone will have a great 2019!
